Home Sweet Home again

We are back from Minnesota. Got home late last night...I have a lot to write but will probably tackle it in full tomorrow after I upload pictures until then....

Here is the latest

-laundry in the washers

-church this morning

-Hyvee groceries on the way home

-pigs in a blanket and fresh fruit for lunch, very gourmet (one child, who will remain nameless, refused to eat them...so he was a bit hungry with fruit alone oh well it's what was made)

-clothes into dryers

-Jr golf Banquet and ice cream sundaes at 2:00 pics tomorrow

-watched Tiger win some golf

-organized and labeled school supplies, now in everyones backpacks

-plucked dead flowers out of pots...it was hot while we were away lost a few, ready for Mum season to come LOVE those!

-thunderstorm hit, electricity flickered

-steaks on the grill, mashed potatoes, fresh sweet corn, biscuits, more fresh fruit for dinner (sort of feel redeemed from gourmet lunch with this meal)

-showers, baths, books and bedtime

-get well cards written for mail tomorrow...

-busy week ahead trying to get organized, check fall clothes, shoes etc for everyone and most importantly trying to squeeze in the activities at the end of summer that we haven't yet done.

Oh and the Iowa State Fair begins Thursday and Scott always takes each of us for our own "day" which consists of 5+ hours at the fair doing what WE want. (and yes I even get a turn)Tommy does rides, Drew animals, Jack tractor touring and me cookies and cookies and cookies...oh and some of the buildings and then ice cream. This year we have to squeeze it in earlier with school starting next week. Another reason he gets the "what a guy award"...and he has several reasons for that this past week. I will share those tomorrow.

For now I think I'll attempt to fold that laundry and get to bed

Reading your dinner menu and wishing I would have been at your house! I have totally been craving sweet corn! :)

Enjoy your fun week! What day are you going to the fair? Are you going to the SCC concert?
