Jack's weekend with Daddy

This is Jack's Ohio weekend with Dad. They leave tonight after his first flag football practice and will drive part way. Stay in a hotel, with a pool Jack hopes, and drive the rest of the way to Columbus tomorrow.

Jack woke up SO excited talking all about what they will do, where they will eat (any guesses?), the pool, making cookies in the hotel with Daddy, snuggling with Daddy....this morning he got all of his STUFF together this morning thanks to Drew's help. DVD player charged, DS, DVD's to watch, books to read, snacks...he is all set.

Scott is enroute home from his trip to Texas, he will be home a few hours before its time to head out and leave again.

I think these weekends are priceless for our boys. I love that Scott does it. They will go to the Ohio State game on Saturday, Scott will cry the entire morning, so sentimental about his beloved Buckeyes and even more so about one on one weekends with his boys, the band will enter the stadium, he will be holding Jack's hand, the flag will be raised by the military, jack's hand will be over his heart while Scott looks down with tears...the team comes on the field...Scott is crying now as he reads this. It is one of the cutest things to watch. They will the drive to the farm and spend Sunday there with his parents, ride some tractors, eat Grandma's good food, applesauce, cookies...then head home Monday.

So much fun...here are pics from last years trip.

  3. Funny.... we are driving part way to Ohio tonight, too. Probably staying in Peoria or Champagne and then driving the rest of the way to Springfield, OH (just 45 mins shy of Columbus.) We'll watch for them on the road.

What an awesome Daddy time! Do they go to THE ORIGINAL Wendy's in Columbus? :)
