Max Turns 5

On January 11th Max turned 5.  Why does 5 sound SO much older than 4 to me?  Somedays I feel like I blinked and he is 5.  Other days I feel like I have soaked him in as much as I possibly could have, enjoyed his every stage....given him so much love and attention.  He is so precious to our family.

He wanted a "Camo" birthday, which then he said he wanted a "Hunting" birthday which this Mom said nope, not at 5...so he happily settled for "Toy Solder Camo Party" but he wanted blue balloons?  He had his list of 5 friends ready.  Leo and Colten he knows from going to Mrs. Ruth's house on Mondays...Hinckley has been his friend forever, and then Tate, Charlie and "Big Max" came as a package deal of brothers.  (which got him to 6 which is technically one more than we normally do, but oh well...we try to keep it to as many friends as they are old, but again with the 4th we have gotten quite a bit more relaxed on most everything)

Thanks to Jack and Drew...games were planned, a cool obstacle/laser course was made, targets were set, party bags put together and we were ready to go for his party on a Sunday afternoon.  Thanks to Tommy for picking up the pizza!  We had pizza, chips, lemonade and cake with ice cream.  Happiness all around.

This is what we call the "happy dance"

This is how Tommy typically looks at home.
