We had a great day for Drew's bday...it started with breakfast in bed, a first for Drew. Then it was Jack's class party at school so Max and I were already at school for lunch. Drew came out and met us for a picnic lunch. After lunch, I delivered a cookie cake to his classroom for his treat. After school we came home, the boys played, we opened birthday gifts, had Drew's choice of dinner (pot roast, mashed potatoes and Hawaiian sweet rolls) and celebrated the day with a cake from Hyvee he had wanted. We had the night off of baseball so it was just so wonderful to be home as a family. Of course the boys played wiffle ball in the backyard after dinner, so much for a night OFF baseball huh? Drew is planning to have a birthday party with buddies sometime later this summer, but wanted a family night on his bday.
