Well today we prayed up and sent off the 3 bigs to school today....
They were all excited and ready to go. It's hard to believe that Tommy is starting his Sophomore Year in High School, WOW! He was elected to Student Council in the spring, so along with basketball, golf and baseball his year will be a busy one at school.
Drew is in 8th grade...the top grade in the Junior High. He is excited to have more of a leader role being the older ones. He has started football and is most excited for bible class to resume. He is also planning on continuing with choir as well as basketball, and this year he can play school baseball with Tommy.

Jack is in 5th grade and is back at DMCS this year after a lot of prayer. He is SO excited to have Mrs Keithley, both Tommy and Drew had her as well. She is a favorite around here. Jack just started tackle football and is very excited about that. He is also planning on playing basketball this winter. He scored off the charts good in math this past year so his hope is to have a lot of math and engineering stuff this year at school...and technology. His love. (nope the math gene does NOT come from me)
Max was not interested in joining the picture this year. He wasn't sad they were leaving, almost the opposite. He had the house to himself and wasn't about to go outside. :)
Weird...this is what going to school now looks like at our house. All 3 boys in the truck.
Weird. Don't blink friends
Yes I still went along so we could take this shot....and yes we did it WAY before school so we could avoid the stares and honks from their friends.
These two heading into the secondary building
The three....
And this Mom, while sad to see them have full plates again, didn't shed a tear. I love watching them grow and become more independent. I love helping them grow their wings and talking about the BIG stuff with them. Oh and I love routine....maybe too much.
I hadn't even thought about the fact that Tommy could drive them all to school. Wowzers!
ReplyDeleteThankful that your morning went well, friend.
