Thursday night was Drew's last Elementary concert. He added the Praise and Worship Choir to his activities this year and really loved it. It's an optional thing and you have to miss some recesses each week to practice. We were surprised he wanted to do it since he enjoys recess, but we were also THRILLED.

Friday was DMCS Olympics...aka Track and Field Day. I had Max's good friend Hinckley for the day since his Mama is on a girls weekend. So the two of them went with me in the morning. They are girl magnets...ALL of the 6th grade girls came running and couldn't believe there was another sweet blond hair curly boy like Max to play with. It was sweet. I could have stayed all day with ALL of the help I got from them.
Drew had fun and won several events, which he enjoyed but what was really FUN for me, as his Mom, was to see him cheering on ALL of his friends. Even those that weren't running so fast, or ones who didn't "love" being there. Drew is such an encourager and I love watching that from a distance.
