Last Tuesday we got a call from our old friend Carol...she and her husband went to college with Scott. They live in Ft Collins, CO and we haven't seen them in about 8 years. Ft Collins is in the midst of some terrible forest fires right now and their Air Quality is terrible. Carol's youngest son, Andrew, has terrible asthma and was struggling to breathe there. His Dr. told him he either needed to head East or get hospitalized with full time oxygen...Carol called to see if they could stay with us for awhile. We said head on over...
They arrived on Wednesday, with their puppy Cooper....
We had a great few days with them, catching up. Andrew's health improved greatly. His numbers went from 280 to 370 in the 5 days they were here. They headed home on Sunday.
The boys enjoyed the puppy, for the most part...but it does confirm that this Momma does NOT need to add a dog to the mix of our life. Max had a love/hate relationship with "Coofer" and Jack tolerated him.
We felt blessed Carol felt like she could call us, out of the blue, and ask if they could stay...no questions asked. Shows that true friendship lasts through miles and years. Now the boys have Colorado on their minds for Spring Break 2013. :)
Some pics of their visit with us.
