Trick or Treat

It's that goofy time of year again in Iowa...where we Trick or Treat on "Beggar's Night" and not on Halloween.  Boys were excited to go.  Scott is out of town so they are going on their own.  Momma is not feeling 100% so I am opting for the door job of handing out candy...Tommy's good friend Christian is going along with Max and him.  Jack and Drew went the other direction, on their own but in our neighborhood.  Oh man this Momma is really letting the kite strings loose tonight....

Here are our boys...all ready to go.  Tommy is wearing the hamburger that I purchased over 5 years ago that no one has worn...well our nephew Charlie did one year.  :)  Max opted for Captain America although that was NOT an easy decision as he has a Spiderman costume too.  Jack is spiderman...and Drew...shockingly...dressed as a Buckeye football player.  I think I can count on one hand the amount of times Drew has been ANYTHING other than a Buckeye of some sort or the other.

It comes full circle...we went through a year or 2 that dressing up wasn't "cool" and now again...it's worth it for free candy.  Tommy's good friend Christian came over so they could "take Max" around the neighborhood and hopefully get some treats of their own.  Having a 2 year old brother has its benefits. :)

In case you can't tell?  Max adores Christian, and Christian loves Max

Jack and Drew opted to go the other way in the neighborhood.

and the pumpkins are lit...we only got 2 carved this year, which was a feat in my opinion.  One SPIDER for Spiderman and one OSU for guess who?

  2. I absolutely love this post so much for so many reasons! That picture of Max in the Captain America costume is absolutely adorable. And him holding Tommy and Christian's hands...oh my! And Jack and Drew heading off their own way. Big brothers looking out for little brothers. And really no matter how old they get all still enjoying dressing up and getting some good candy. It's just precious. Hope you're feeling better.
