Yesterday was Max's birthday and we filled it up with all of the things he LOVES...be WARNED lots of pictures below!
We started the day off with donuts at home..he LOVES donuts. Well, he loves the frosting on donuts. We also got him a balloon that sang happy birthday every time you hit it, he loved that!
Later in the morning he and I headed to the play place at the mall, he LOVES it there. Any my good friend Lynn was in town so she met us there...Max had her read him a book. Not sure who loved that more. :)
From the play place we met Daddy for lunch at one of Max's favorite places, Jason's deli...he had pizza and ice cream! Yummy...
Home for a nice long nap....
Then after school Daddy took Max to the Y to shoot hoops...he LOVES going to the Y, thinks he is ONE OF THE BIG boys when he is there. He shot and shot and shot hoops. While they were gone I pulled together one of his favorite meals for dinner...goulash and crescent rolls. :)
While we waited for the Rethmeiers to come we opened up Max's big gift and he helped assembled it...
Our dear Miss Emily, Ross and baby Blakely came for Max's birthday dinner and "family party"...he loved having them here. Laughed at Ross much of dinner, loved on Blakely too....
We ended the night with cake and presents and some one on one basketball in the basement...it doesn't get much better than this when you are 2!

And sweet baby Blakely arrived and we finally gave her, her Christmas gift,....cutest hat made by my friend Terra!

What a special and fun filled day for a boy we love VERY much! Happy 2nd Birthday sweet boy!
LOVED the birthday play-by-play. Totally loved it. So many great pictures and such a special day for Max. *sigh* Love that Lynn got to read him a book. :) Glad Max had such a special 2nd birthday!
