Merry Christmas Eve

Merry Christmas from the Shislers...if you want to read the card if you click on it I think it will get larger.  Although I am pretty sure if you are reading this blog you are getting our Christmas card in your mailbox.

We are all set here, making chocolate chip cookies for Santa now.  Christmas Carols are playing.  Boys are playing in the basement, Max is feeling better, Jack has croup but doing well during the day.  Almost nap time.  Church is at 5:00 pm.  Just had a visit from Will's Dad, returning a crock pot from their chili we left at their house yesterday...they are home from Mayo...AGAIN.  They did another surgery on Friday.  Added another shunt and removed the one from when he was 4 years old.  He now has 2 shunts and they hope to figure out a better solution down the road so he doesn't have to go through this every 10 years.  He is feeling pretty miserable from the surgery and is sporting a funky new half shaved head "do". ...not up for visitors yet other than Santa.  Hopefully Tommy can go and hang out with him soon.  Please continue to pray for Will and boy are we thankful for the Mayo clinic.

Jesus is the reason for this Season...the boys are busily preparing for our morning "stuff" in our room before we head downstairs in the morning.  WE always read the Christmas Story and this year we are adding a new activity we just got....(thanks Sarah for this idea) it's called "What God wants for Christmas" and it's a series of boxes you open up as you read the Christmas Story...starting with Gabriel and ending with an empty box with a mirror because what God really WANTS for Christmas is your heart.  So the boys are readily preparing that for the morning.

Merry Christmas from our snowy home to yours....
