Football Wrap up #2

Tommy had his last game for football on Thursday night...we are so proud of him.  He had a great year and learned so much, not just about football but about persevering and encouraging others.

We are so proud of you #16!

Shisler Football Wrap up Week

This is the week all 3 of the big boys wrap up their football seasons...woo hoo!  (oops did I just say that?)  I LOVE watching them play, don't get me wrong..but the crazy schedules that we have had from 3 different teams at different locations on different days have left us without a day off of football for about 8 weeks...Every single day at least one, if not 2, and sometimes 3 boys had football.

Drew's team won their league Championship...that was exciting.  They played "Under the Lights" at Waukee HS turf stadium.  Drew loved every minute...

jack sported his eye black for drew...it reads Gold  #54
He evern wore Drew's practice jersey to the game

 Drew's #54

Drew wore eye black too and wrote Phil 4:13 on his
"I can do all things through Christ who gives me strength"

Tommy and Daddy were there too in the stands, they didn't use their press pass to get on the field like Jack and I did.  Max stayed home with Tommy's friend Christian, who was his babysitter.  :)

It's definitely fall here, chilly weather.  Tommy's last game is on Thursday and Jack's on Saturday.  My brother Mike, Cara, Charlie and Alice come on Friday too.  So it will be a busy week.

Wrapping it up....

Fun fun fun!

I am having more fun messing around with photoshop and lightroom.  I am not sleeping much because my best chance to work on stuff is when 4 little boys are in bed. :)  It's a good thing I didn't know how to use this software, well it probably didn't exist...when I was in HS and college..but IF it had, I certainly would have gotten NOTHING done.  All the time that I once made mix tapes for boyfriends...sigh...could have been photoshopping and collage making.  :)  Laughing to myself here....

These are a couple I made last night from recent photos.  If you click on them, they will get larger.

Leaves Fall and a Friendship Grows

Loved this post from my friend Mariah.  She was just here Monday until this morning. Mariah is my friend I met in Maui when she took our 10 Year Anniversary pics, and then saw her last fall in Austin TX for baby/nursing pics of Max and me and now she has come to Iowa.  She brought her little guy Cruz, who is just a little bit younger than Max.

We talked photos, camera settings, lightroom editing, photoshop editing, organizing photos....so so much more.  More pics to come.  But this was just posted on her blog and it makes me smile.  I love my boys SO much.

So more pics to come...but until then here is one she took of our family.

Here are a few of the little guys playing...and sweet Blakely here too, Emily was here helping watch the boys so we could talk photography in the mornings.  These were are practice shots that we worked on editing to start with....hence the random no pants clothing in some.  :)

Saturday morning fun

Some people SLEEP IN on Saturday mornings while others...make leaf piles and jump into them.  These were taken on Saturday around 7:15 am.  Yes, that is the sunrise you see behind our house.  :)

Max's first year of discovering leaves and running and jumping into them.  Drew and Jack taught him quickly how it was done.  Max LOVED it.  (NOTE: Tommy was absent for these photos, he was still asleep until 7:45.  Seriously who's genes do these children have?  hint hint they are NOT mine)

Before and After

What do you see different in these 2 photos of our house....

What do you think?  The porch was re-painted white this weekend too.

Football Boys

Saturday was a busy day here...

Tommy helped at school decorate for Homecoming week.  Drew was picked up from his very first ever sleepover...he had fun.  Max had a Kindermusick make up class from missing for Ohio...and Jack had a football game at noon.  So a busy morning....

Jack played a great game and LOVES football.  Here are some pictures...

Tough guy with the surfer hair

Taking him down...sometimes we need to remind him it's "flag" football and not "tackle"

How cute is this?  Max on Tommy's shoulders

Drew paces on the sidelines during games, cracks me up.

Right after his TD...with his friend Seth coming to celebrate

The "chest bump" that cracks me up.

The rest of the day was full, the big boys had a Fall Golf tournament, and we had a dinner with some people in our Sunday School Class.
