Twig & Daisy

As some of you know, I have been taking more pictures this fall for friends.  It sort of snowballed into more than I had originally planned.  I have also loved it more than I thought I would.  So since people have been asking more we thought we should name it a business and see what happens.

This is the name we came up with....Twig & Daisy Photography.  Most of you know, my nickname growing up was "Twigs"...short for Terwilliger I guess.  My Dad, his brothers, my cousins...everyone as long as I can remember has been called "Twig", I guess "Twigs" is the feminine version of Twig.  Regardless I wanted to include that in the name, and Daisy, well I love daisies.

My high school friend Linda, has been working on designing a logo for me.  This is one of her rough drafts....she is way talented.  The thing that makes me laugh is that in high school Linda was always designing tee shirts, posters etc for our school...and I was always taking pictures.  Looks like 20 years later we haven't changed much.  :)

What do you think?

First Snow

The boys were VERY excited to wake up to snow yesterday morning.  When I came downstairs I looked out the front door and this is what I saw...

Scott building a snowman for the boys...what a great Dad!

Jack and Drew were out playing in the snow and finished the snowman off with the little details.  His little face was melted off by the time they got home from school but they sure had fun making him.

Dining Room DONE

So the last time I posted about the dining room I was debating between white and off white curtains...
well low and behold look at what I found.  Something SO MUCH better.  A mustard and off white pattern.  I LOVE these, they tie in the chairs, the gold frames, our kitchen...everything.
So I can put a check mark next to the box in my head that says "Re-decorate Dining Room"...it's now done and I LOVE it.

Football Guys

Right now you can find Max MANY times a day playing with these football guys.  He sets them up, each and every single one...then he stands next to it and "coaches" tells them "KICK" or "GO".  Sometimes he likes to just lay down on his tummy and look at all of them.  Then he cleans them all up, and starts all over.
Many many times a day.  These are pictures from the past couple of days.  Doing the same thing.
It's seriously SO cute.

Tommy's Buckeye Weekend

Tommy and Scott headed to Columbus on Thursday,  Oct. 27th after lunch.  They drove straight there, getting there late at night.

Friday morning they headed out to play 9 holes of golf at the Longaberger Golf Course.

 Their headquarters...pretty cool building huh?

The latest tradition....Cane's for Chicken Fingers....

Saturday was game day...it was a night game which left them plenty of the day to walk around, and tailgate some.  Scott's older sister Kathy also came to the game with a friend.  So they were able to see her a bit as well.

It was a close game...very close.  They ended up on the field at the end of the game!

And they even ran into "Buckeyeman"...lucky them.

They had a fun weekend together, more memories made for both of them.
Sweet side note...I fell asleep early on Saturday night...well at midnight so guess not that early but Scott called to say goodnight around 12:30 am.  And left me a very sweet message...he was loading the car up so they could leave early in the morning on Sunday to get back in time for "Beggar's Night" aka Trick or Treating....  And in his voicemail I could tell he was choked up...he was thanking me for allowing him all of these weekends away with our boys alone.  He was thanking me for understanding  how special those memories are for him to make with them.  For holding down the fort here while he is away enjoying one on one time with them.   I love that he appreciates that in me...I loved that he noticed.

Drew's Buckeye Weekend

Drew and Scott went to Ohio last Tuesday....they went early in the week so they could help Grandpa Shisler on the farm with harvesting.

Drew with a load of soybeans

Sitting in the top of the full wagon...

Getting dirty with Grandpa

With Grandma Shisler in the house, she kept busy baking and cooking for the crew

Drew loves Cindy, the dog.

Think Drew took this pic, of the front of their house...

They headed to Columbus on Friday, first stop...Cane's for Chicken Strips.

Saturday, Game Day
with Athletic Director Gene Smith on campus

With Dad by Mirror Lake

The view from the Library

A cake someone made...this is what Drew would like for his Grooms cake.  Thanks to watching Ace of Cakes so much he knows there is a Grooms cake, this is his request

Oh yes with the notorious Buckeye Man...showing off the cool Block O gloves

Drew's FAVORITE part of the game....the running of the flags.  He does this in our backyard on game day.

At the end of the game with Brutus, and Scott's best friend from college Mike

Another great Buckeye weekend in the books for the Shisler Family....what a blessing these weekends are to Scott and our boys.

So far behind...

I am far behind in blogging....

life has been crazy.  Too busy to tell you the truth...I think it's the new normal around here whether I like it or not.

I need to catch up on Tommy's Buckeye weekend...Drew's Buckeye weekend...the latest happenings around here of everyone...

so be patient as I try to get caught up...

Dining Room BEFORE and AFTER

After a month or so I have finally decided I love the new dining room and the new gray.  Took some time...

So we have the dining room BEFORE...

And now AFTER....

 Love these new Silhouettes....

Now to figure out what to do with curtains on the windows...would you go with solid WHITE or solid CREAM?  I am debating between those two...would love your opinions!
