We have chosen to spend Christmas Day at home for the past 12 years I believe it is, we love the quietness it gives us. We always start the morning with little ones, AND not SO little ones, up at the crack of dawn if not before…asking if we can go downstairs yet. Sigh….it's always WAY too early for this Mama and even for my Love who is a morning person. They are SO excited. We also have a tradition of reading the Christmas Story all in our bed before we start the day. One of the boys reads it now, and it's typically read quicker than I would like…but we TRY our best to start our day with the focus being on Jesus Birth and the REASON for Christmas.
Then….the boys take their annual top of the stairs photo…
..cameras are ready
and then…it's a MAD DASH to the family room to see if "Santa" found their stockings.
