Today is Scott's birthday. We are waiting for him to get back from his meeting somewhere close to Iowa City. We are hoping he will make it in time for a late lunch. Max has grand things planned. I think this is the first birthday since we have been married where he hasn't been home in the morning. We called and sang to him, but it just isn't the same.
We have a Boston Cream Pie in the works and his favorite dinner brewing as well. Pot roast, mashed potatoes, corn, creamed spinach...some things never change. Which is one of the MANY reasons I love him. He is steady and predictable.
Max has already told him what his birthday gifts are, you would think I would have learned NOT to take him shopping with me. Oh well.
