Trick or Treat

It's that goofy time of year again in Iowa...where we Trick or Treat on "Beggar's Night" and not on Halloween.  Boys were excited to go.  Scott is out of town so they are going on their own.  Momma is not feeling 100% so I am opting for the door job of handing out candy...Tommy's good friend Christian is going along with Max and him.  Jack and Drew went the other direction, on their own but in our neighborhood.  Oh man this Momma is really letting the kite strings loose tonight....

Here are our boys...all ready to go.  Tommy is wearing the hamburger that I purchased over 5 years ago that no one has worn...well our nephew Charlie did one year.  :)  Max opted for Captain America although that was NOT an easy decision as he has a Spiderman costume too.  Jack is spiderman...and Drew...shockingly...dressed as a Buckeye football player.  I think I can count on one hand the amount of times Drew has been ANYTHING other than a Buckeye of some sort or the other.

It comes full circle...we went through a year or 2 that dressing up wasn't "cool" and now again...it's worth it for free candy.  Tommy's good friend Christian came over so they could "take Max" around the neighborhood and hopefully get some treats of their own.  Having a 2 year old brother has its benefits. :)

In case you can't tell?  Max adores Christian, and Christian loves Max

Jack and Drew opted to go the other way in the neighborhood.

and the pumpkins are lit...we only got 2 carved this year, which was a feat in my opinion.  One SPIDER for Spiderman and one OSU for guess who?

iPhone DUMP

This MAY be the BIGGEST "dump" ever off of my phone, sorry it's been SO long,  Bear with me as I try to document these...and I know they aren't even in order...oh well

Max LOVES to take pictures on my phone, here he let me be in a couple.

Here he did not...he took these when I was who knows where.

Every single time we go to Costco Max wants to "see Mickey" and he rides with us in the shopping cart.  His VERY favorite show right now is Mickey Mouse Clubhouse, it is the ONLY one he will sit through and watch from start to finish.  Momma is happy there is ONE we can count on.
Daddy has been gone A LOT the past month, this was reading at bedtime with Daddy.  And Thomas the Train has a number 1 on him....it is NOT Scott brainwashing Max about the Buckeyes being number one.  ltm

Jack rides his bike to school almost every single day, it's his FAVORITE part of being at Eason
Cannot remember if I blogged that Max and I went to the Center Grove Orchard with Hinckley and his Momma...and I am too tired to look back.  But Max LOVED jumping off the bails of straw into the corn.

More self portraits while riding in the car....

My dear friend Shannon and I did the Color Run early in October.  They say it's the "Funnest 5K on the Planet" and I think they were right.  You start out the race in a white tee and there are 5 stations you "run" through where they throw colored powder on you, aka corn starch and at the end there is a BIG dance party where every minute or so they throw more color out.  We had fun.  We did NOT run the entire thing, we did TALK through the entire thing and had fun catching up.  Shannon is so dear to me, she is one of my most REAL and loyal friends.  Love her.

You guessed it more photo taking by Max...I think how DANGEROUS I would have been in high school if there would have been iPhones.  I was dangerous enough with cameras that used film

Drew made this hot chocolate for me one chilly night.

Max fell asleep on top of my legs while we watched the Buckeyes beat Nebraska in a way too close game...

The next morning at church, after the big win, Max refused to wear anything BUT his jersey and I cut the big boys some slack and allowed for a more "casual" church look than normal....made for some HAPPY boys.

One happy Momma at the airport meeting Tommy after he flew alone.  Seriously look how tall he is getting.

Max has really moved into our bed with Scott having been gone so much...

So a couple of weeks ago our home was used for another Magazine shoot, this time the theme was Super Bowl Sunday and it was for the Food Network Sandra Lea's new magazine that should hit stands in December I believe.  It was fun to watch it all.  This time they had a couple of chefs there prepping the food.  It looked and smelled SO good all day.

Look at those lashes...

Messing with my app that adds cool layers of "sparkle" to pictures

This is SO true...now I know how my mom felt.

Owie mouth...see the tooth that is pushed back now.  Nice huh?  Guess maybe you should JUMP off of couches next time what do you think?  Sweet baby boy...

When Mike and Cara were here last weekend Alice and I snuck out for some girl time...my friend Sarah had told me about this sweet spot called Rainbow Nails where they have the little girl Pedi chairs.  So much FUN...Alice had a mani and a pedi and I taught her all those terms so now she is all set to ask Grandma for MORE in Minnesota!  :)

And my brother Mike has such a way of calming our children down at bedtime...not Spiderman...aka Max and Captain America...aka Alice

After a long day of busy kids we actually snuck out on our FIRST OFFICIAL DOUBLE DATE ever!  Left the big boys in charge at home and think we only had 8 phone calls while at dinner. (not kidding...)  WE did get out for Orange Leaf yogurt after...I look like I could fall asleep in this picture.  Hmmm wasn't feeling 100% but so nice to be out and about.

There you have the latest iphone dump of photos...if you lasted thru the entire thing I am impressed!
