First and Last Days

So much to catch up on....but first these.

The apple doesn't fall far...

Found Scott's Kindergarten picture today...random I know but such is my life right now.  Had to compare it to Max's.  Max doesn't look like me...well he MAY have my eyelashes?  maybe?  Other than that...he is his Daddy's boy.  I love that they even have similar expressions in these pics.  The chin, the nose, the ears and the very same shade of blue eyes which you cannot tell due to the age of the pictures.  Oh those sweet boys of mine...

Master Bath Re-Do

Our Master bath has been under construction since March.  It is near completion...only need a toilet paper roll hung and a fan vented oh and a swap on the shower head when it comes in....but this is CLOSE enough for the big reveal.

We haven't been able to shower in the bath since January when we had the big leak, it has leaked in the past and we had patched it...but this time it needed more.  And when you have a tile shower that is attached to a built in surround tile tub...it leads to more of a fix than something minor.  Thankfully one of my friends from high school worked on a bath TV show and she did have a few extras to donate to the bath, thanks Linda for the tub and tub faucet and for the boys bathroom vanities.  Anything helps when you are doing a MAJOR reno.

We didn't change the footprint of the bathroom, or the size of the shower or the vanity...but lots of other things changed and I couldn't be more pleased with the finished product.  Scott likes it too, but he is a man of few words.  Here was his excitement over it early one morning after having been out of town and missed some of the final touches.
